Syria. Yemen. Gaza. Iraq. Ukraine. The list goes on and on. Somewhere -- everywhere it seems these days -- wars are starting and bombs keep falling. Yet the people on the ground are the ones most forgotten.

“The Smaller Deaths” is for the invisible and nameless, the true losers of every conflict. And for those of us at a distance (for now), standing at our windows, watching on our screens, not knowing what to do.
